Pankration was an ancient sport in Greece. It is a combination of current inventory and boxing. It was introduced to the program of the ancient Olympic Games in 648 B.C.E. During the fights, there were only 3 basic rules: a ban on biting, attacking the eyes and genitals of the opponent. Historical reports show that fatal accidents have rarely occurred. Popular fights will end with a subject signaled by raising the hand through the list.
In 1999, the International Federation of Pankration (International Federation of Pankration, IFPa) was founded to promote pankration as a mixed martial arts discipline.

This sculpture is entirely hand made, using the lost wax method. Despite the great attention with which our bronze sculptures are made, it is possible that this figure may slightly differ from other such sculptures shown on the pictures.
