An exclusive hand-crafted glass vase in the style of Émile Gallé. The decoration depicts a winter mountain landscape with flying geese, rendered in a blue-toned palette. The vase is made entirely by hand with great precision and attention to the smallest details. It makes a striking artistic impression and has a timeless design, suitable for many types of interiors.
Émile Gallé was a French artist and designer, a master of artistic glassmaking in the nineteenth century, recognised as a revolutionary and innovator of the French Art Nouveau movement. In addition to his glass creations, he also designed furniture. He founded the so-called School of Nancy. His glass art was based on the ancient technique known as cameo glass.
Cameo glass is a luxurious form of glass art produced by etching and carving through fused layers of differently colored glass to create decorative motifs. This technique was first observed in ancient Roman art around 30 BCE.
