Diana (Latin Diana, Greek Artemis) in Roman mythology was goddess of hunting and nature, the plant and animal world, mountains, forests, groves, healing springs, fertility and the moon. Originally an Italian goddess of all life on earth, in the 6th century BC she has beed identified with the Greek Artemis and this is how she began to be presented: in a short chiton, with a bow and arrows or a crescent.

This sculpture is entirely handmade, using the so-called lost wax method.
